PRESENTATION
The Seminar
is part of the Jean Monnet FREECEU Module, funded by the Erasmus+ Program of the
European Commission, coordinated by Profa. Dr. Luciane Klein Vieira within the scope of
of the Graduate Program in Law at UNISINOS. It aims to analyze the
process of implementation of the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union
in the European bloc, in order to identify and disseminate the main
contributions of this instrument to the consolidation and expansion of the Statute of the
MERCOSUR citizenship, especially in the area of workers'''' rights
consumer protection, personal data protection and actions for the
exercise of citizenship.
OBJECTIVE
Know
how the Charter of Fundamental Rights addresses the rights and guarantees linked to the
migrant workers, consumers, the protection of personal data and the
citizenship, to identify what would be the main contributions of the
European experience for the deepening and expansion of such rights in the
MERCOSUR Citizenship Statute; b) To provide tools for the
participants to know and identify the rights covered by the Charter
and the shortcomings in the Mercosur instrument, in order to
to allow debate aimed at the formulation of public policies and projects
regulations.
